An event for the love of gardening
The inaugural one day Garden Affair event in autumn 2024 will be a welcoming environment that will connect gardeners and plant lovers with Gardening Clubs, Plant Societies, organisations and Garden or Horticultural Businesses. This is an opportunity to take a drive through the Adelaide Hills at this beautiful time of the year and and enjoy the historical gardens of Stangate House set in the village of Aldgate.
Adelaide Hills Garden Affair is based in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. This Not-for-Profit organization has been developed by a small group of representatives of some Hills Garden Clubs and Plant Societies with a common vision to create an annual Adelaide Hills Garden Event.

The Adelaide Hills Garden Affair will satisfy gardeners in so many aspects of gardening and demonstrate gardening's many joys and benefits while also enjoying the historic gardens of Stangate House in the heart of Aldgate village. Stangate was designed by Adelaide architect Eric McMichael in the 1940’s. The old house is set in four acres and overlooks extensive gardens filled with mature deciduous trees and one of the most beautiful camellia gardens in Australia. In May, the Camellia sasanquas will be in full bloom.
