Following the excitingly  successful launch of this new gardening event on
Sunday 5th May 2024
in Stangate House & Gardens in Aldgate, SA

We announce that:
The Adelaide Hills Garden Affair will continue as a biennial gardening event.

Adelaide Hills Garden Affair enjoyed a delightful launch with perfect weather.  Featuring all things gardening, this  special one-day event amongst the historic  gardens of Stangate House in Aldgate; coincided  with spectacular autumn colour of the Adelaide Hills.

If you love gardening? -- Want to know more? – This event provides gardeners with the opportunity to learn from experts, make connections, feed your curiosity and increase your gardening know-how.


With over 50 stalls, representing Garden Clubs, Plant Societies and  Specialist Nursery stalls alongside garden suppliers, garden décor, new gardening techniques, tools and more, the day provided something for everyone.  The event provided everything promised including art, food and the popular 'I Spy' detective game for young children, a face painter and a search for bugs.

Launching in 2024, ticketholders enjoyed the informative Speakers' Program including special guest Angus Stewart, former presenter of Gardening Australia. Read about our speakers and their topics here.

Spence Denny  broadcast live from the event with ABC Adelaide Sunday Morning 
10 am to 12.with special guests and Talkback Gardening with Sophie Thomson.

Disability access: Regrettably, reasonable mobility is required at this venue. Stangate House and Gardens are not suitable for disability scooters or self-propelled wheelchairs. Patrons with walking frames would only be able to safely negotiate the paths with direct assistance.

No pets are allowed at this event.  Essential assistance dogs excepted.
